Pet sitting in Norwich
Norfolk is one of our favourite parts of the country, so we were glad to be invited to pet sit on the outskirts of Norwich for Frenchie Vinnie and Oriental cat Moriarty! Though we only had a few days together, we had so much fun! Vinnie showed us his favourite walkies through rapeseed fields near his home, the colour made brighter by warm April sunshine. Vinnie suffered with seasonal allergies so his owners instructed us to give him hayfever relief tablets each morning. His owners warned us to make sure Vinnie swallowed these pills by gently rubbing his throat, otherwise he would store them in his flappy Frenchie cheeks and spit them out later! Luckily he was a very good boy for us and took his pills with no issues.
At home, Vinnie loved to chase his rugby ball around the garden! He made us smile every day as he’d run as fast as his little legs would carry him to chase after his toy. Once he was all tuckered out, he’d curl up in his bed and Moriarty would join him for a snooze. They were such unlikely friends, but were always very sweet towards each other. Moriarty was a particularly cheeky cat and would sweep the kitchen countertops in search of any food crumbs. Any time we told him to get down he’d giggle at us in the form of a chatter before scurrying away!
Both he and Vinnie were incredibly affectionate and they’d love to jump up into our bed with us for cuddles at night. We’re so happy that they became so attached to us in just a few short days together! We love to see pets grow to trust us so quickly when we pet sit, and it’s something we pride ourselves on being able to achieve when you choose us as your house sitters.
