Pet sitting in Chichester
We’re fortunate enough to have completed multiple house sits in and around Chichester, caring for a variety of pets and dog breeds! Without a doubt one of our most memorable pet sits just South of Chichester was caring for Irish Wolfhound Wolfie, with his much smaller house mates Murphy the mixed breed dog, and gentle cat Prinny. The size difference between everyone didn’t bother them at all, and they all got along swimmingly at home and out on walks! Though he was a LOT bigger than Murphy, looking after Wolfie wasn’t any more difficult than looking after a small dog. We just had to make sure he had enough room to snooze on the sofa when he wanted to as he needed a whole one to himself! He especially loved to sit on our laps, which was leg-numbing but very sweet! Prinny would also love to curl up on our laps – being an older cat she appreciated a good fuss. Murphy was a complete joy to care for – if he wasn’t happily licking our faces or snuggling up with us, he was pelting at full speed after a ball in the local park.
Over in West Dean, we cared for gorgeous Duck Tolling Retriever Baloo. She had so much energy and would love to play endless games of fetch on our walks around the fields close to her home. When she had the ball in sight, she could really move! We enjoyed lots of sunset walkies with her as we climbed up the hillside for stunning panoramic views, spotting Chichester cathedral in the distance. Back at home, Baloo loved to perform her wide range of tricks in exchange for her favourite treat – frozen peas! Her owners told us to scatter them across the kitchen floor for her, and it was so much fun for us to watch her excitedly scramble after them in all directions!

Another special house sit was dog sitting for adorable four month old Doberman puppy Murphy, and her two Bengal cat siblings Ronnie and Bibi. While it was our 80th house sit, their owners had never booked pet sitters before and relied on us to lead them through the process. We’re happy to say everything went smoothly, and we gave Murphy’s owners a positive first experience with house sitting! With Murphy being so young, she was on a strict training regime that we were asked to reinforce during our stay with her. Murphy’s owners were particularly keen to teach her not to jump up at people, knowing that she would grow to be a much larger dog in adulthood. We gladly reinforced this training during our time with her, using the commands set out by her owners. Having so much puppy energy, we spent our sunny days together running around the harbourside garden, watching her big flappy ears fly in the wind, and occasionally seeing her stumble over her huge Doberman paws that she hadn’t quite grown into yet!
Even the cats, Ronnie and Bibi, were incredibly affectionate – a temperament that we’ve discovered over the years is shared by all Bengal cats – as they would both happily purr while gently rubbing their faces on ours. Bibi would sit up on her hind legs as we approached her, reaching her front paws out to be picked up for a cuddle and carried around the house!
We feel so fortunate to be invited into the lives of so many wonderful and loving pets! Take a look at our photos and client testimonials from our Chichester house sits below.

They were amazing
Suze and Chris took on the challenge of house sitting for newbies AND a four month old Doberman puppy. They were amazing on both fronts, guiding us through the process and then taking wonderful care of both the puppy and our two Bengals. The house was immaculate when we returned and we felt total peace of mind while we were away. They kept us updated on how our pets were doing and in addition, Chris took some extraordinary photos of them all and sent them to us as keepsakes. We would recommend them unequivocally and will use them again ourselves.
